Surah Al Waqiah In Arabic What they regarded as utterly incredible was that Resurrection would ever take place, then the entire system of the earth and heavens would be upset, and when all the dead would be resurrected and called to account, after which the righteous would be admitted to Paradise and the wicked cast into Hell.

Quran:[49:12] 'O ye who believe! Avoid suspicion as much (as possible): for suspicion in some cases is a sin: And spy not on each other behind their backs.Would any of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? Nay, ye would abhor it...But fear Allah. For Allah is Oft-Returning, Most Merciful.'

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

56:1 (Y. Ali) When the Event inevitable cometh to pass,

56:1 (Picktall) When the event befalleth.

56:2 (Y. Ali) Then will no (soul) entertain falsehood concerning its coming.

56:2 (Picktall) There is no denying that it will befall

56:3 (Y. Ali) (Many) will it bring low; (many) will it exalt;

56:3 (Picktall) Abasing (some), exalting (others);

56:4 (Y. Ali) When the earth shall be shaken to its depths,

56:5 (Y. Ali) And the mountains shall be crumbled to atoms,

56:45 (Y. Ali) For that they were wont to be indulged, before that, in wealth (and luxury),

56:45 (Picktall) Lo! heretofore they were effete with luxury

56:46 (Y. Ali) And persisted obstinately in wickedness supreme!

56:46 (Picktall) And used to persist in the awful sin.

56:47 (Y. Ali) And they used to say, 'What! when we die and become dust and bones, shall we then indeed be raised up again?-

56:47 (Picktall) And they used to say: When we are dead and have come dust and bones, shall we then, forsooth, be raised again,

56:48 (Picktall) And also our forefathers?

56:49 (Y. Ali) Say: 'Yea, those of old and those of later times,

56:49 (Picktall) Say (unto them, O Muhammad): Lo! those of old and those of later time

56:50 (Y. Ali) 'All will certainly be gathered together for the meeting appointed for a Day well-known.

56:50 (Picktall) Will all be brought together to the tryst of an appointed day.

56:51 (Y. Ali) 'Then will ye truly,- O ye that go wrong, and treat (Truth) as Falsehood!-

56:51 (Picktall) Then lo! ye, the erring, the deniers,

56:52 (Picktall) Ye verily will eat of a tree called Zaqqum

56:56 (Y. Ali) Such will be their entertainment on the Day of Requital!

56:59 (Y. Ali) Is it ye who create it, or are We the Creators?

56:60 (Y. Ali) We have decreed Death to be your common lot, and We are not to be frustrated

56:60 (Picktall) We mete out death among you, and We are not to be outrun,

56:61 (Y. Ali) from changing your Forms and creating you (again) in (forms) that ye know not.

56:61 (Picktall) That We may transfigure you and make you what ye know not.

56:62 (Y. Ali) And ye certainly know already the first form of creation: why then do ye not celebrate His praises?

56:62 (Picktall) And verily ye know the first creation. Why, then, do ye not reflect?

56:63 (Y. Ali) See ye the seed that ye sow in the ground?

56:63 (Picktall) Have ye seen that which ye cultivate?

56:64 (Y. Ali) Is it ye that cause it to grow, or are We the Cause?

56:64 (Picktall) Is it ye who foster it, or are We the Fosterer?

56:65 (Y. Ali) Were it Our Will, We could crumble it to dry powder, and ye would be left in wonderment,

56:65 (Picktall) If We willed, We verily could make it chaff, then would ye cease not to exclaim:

56:66 (Y. Ali) (Saying), 'We are indeed left with debts (for nothing):

56:66 (Picktall) Lo! we are laden with debt!

56:67 (Y. Ali) 'Indeed are we shut out (of the fruits of our labour)'

56:67 (Picktall) Nay, but we are deprived!

56:68 (Y. Ali) See ye the water which ye drink?

56:68 (Picktall) Have ye observed the water which ye drink?

56:69 (Y. Ali) Do ye bring it down (in rain) from the cloud or do We?

56:69 (Picktall) Is it ye who shed it from the rain cloud, or are We the shedder?

56:70 (Y. Ali) Were it Our Will, We could make it salt (and unpalatable): then why do ye not give thanks?

56:70 (Picktall) If We willed We verily could make it bitter. Why, then, give ye not thanks?

56:71 (Y. Ali) See ye the Fire which ye kindle?

56:71 (Picktall) Have ye observed the fire which ye strike out;

56:72 (Y. Ali) Is it ye who grow the tree which feeds the fire, or do We grow it?

56:72 (Picktall) Was it ye who made the tree thereof to grow, or were We the grower?

56:73 (Y. Ali) We have made it a memorial (of Our handiwork), and an article of comfort and convenience for the denizens of deserts.

56:73 (Picktall) We, even We, appointed it a memorial and a comfort for the dwellers in the wilderness.

56:74 (Y. Ali) Then celebrate with praises the name of thy Lord, the Supreme!

56:74 (Picktall) Therefor (O Muhammad), praise the name of thy Lord, the Tremendous.

56:83 (Y. Ali) Then why do ye not (intervene) when (the soul of the dying man) reaches the throat,-

56:83 (Picktall) Why, then, when (the soul) cometh up to the throat (of the dying)

56:84 (Y. Ali) And ye the while (sit) looking on,-

56:84 (Picktall) And ye are at that moment looking

56:85 (Y. Ali) But We are nearer to him than ye, and yet see not,-

56:85 (Picktall) And We are nearer unto him than ye are, but ye see not

56:86 (Y. Ali) Then why do ye not,- If you are exempt from (future) account,-

56:86 (Picktall) Why then, if ye are not in bondage (unto Us),

56:87 (Y. Ali) Call back the soul, if ye are true (in the claim of independence)?

56:87 (Picktall) Do ye not force it back, if ye are truthful?

56:88 (Y. Ali) Thus, then, if he be of those Nearest to Allah,

56:88 (Picktall) Thus if he is of those brought nigh,

56:89 (Y. Ali) (There is for him) Rest and Satisfaction, and a Garden of Delights.

56:89 (Picktall) Then breath of life, and plenty, and a Garden of delight

56:90 (Picktall) And if he is of those on the right hand,

56:91 (Y. Ali) (For him is the salutation), 'Peace be unto thee', from the Companions of the Right Hand.

56:92 (Picktall) But if he is of the rejecters, the erring,
